Epichlorohydrin Rubber

A special synthetic rubber essential to automotive parts

Epichlorohydrin rubber is a special synthetic rubber manufactured by DAISO who has the largest market share in the world, independently developed own process which features a superior balance between durability, oil resistance and low temperature performance. This highly functional material meets the high performance requirements of the automotive industry as well as tough environmental standards. In addition, it has recently become possible to precisely control its semi conductive properties, enabling use in the electrostatic, image transfer and developer rolls of digital color multifunction copiers, for which the demands are expanding.

Grades of EPICHLOMER

Currently, EPICHLOMER is available in the following three grades, which consist of several subordinate grades as shown in Grade Table

  • EPOCHLOMER H : Homopolymer of epichlorohydrin (EP)
  • EPICHLOMER C&D : Copolymer of epichlorohydrin and ethylene oxide (EO)
  • EPICHLOMER CG series : Terpolymer of epichlorohydrin, ethylene oxide and allyl glycidyl ether (AGE)

EPICHLOMER is the choice of the material for parts which require controlled/medium range of electric resistance; "Semi"-conductivity.
